R.I.P. The Twenty Twos- Led by three female vocalists and featuring a make drummer this band broke the mold by playing mostly upbeat punk. Though they had a really great and cohesive album their record label left them stranded on tour (F you Sony) and they disbanded shortly after so they could pay off the debt the incurred from said tour. Needless to say they need to get back together so they can be resigned.

R.I.P Flee The Scene- One of the greatest punk/screamo/emo/hard rock bands I have ever heard I am not typically into this kind of music but they really spoke to me and they also broke up for no apparent reason other than they were tired of making music. This unique song fronted by a really talented female singer made for an electric combination that I guess just wasn't meant to be.

R.I.P. Something Corporate- Yes Andrew McMahon has gone on to bigger and better things but I still have a special place in my heart for his first band Something Corporate. With great instrumental and nine minute long songs they just speak to me. It is sad that they no longer make music together.

R.I.P. The Thurston Revival- Poetic one man bands which make you thirst for more are rare to find. The Thurston Revival was not only one of those he is a fallen one. He was never officially picked up by a record label and should have been and for some reason he has just stopped making music all together. There is no real news about him and it is really hard to find any of his stuff (even me the internet queen can not find a single site with one of his songs on it.) but if you manage to take a listen it is really great.

Of course the Beatles would have been the worst. Others include Guns-n-Roses, Sex Pistols, Oasis, The Smashing Pumpkins and Talking Heads. These would be the bands I was would consider their breaking up to be a detriment to the music industry.

Lol. The Smashing Pumpkins are still together they reunited fairly recently. You have to remember that I am in to indie music so these are all indie bands that fought against the odds and did not make it.

The Twenty-twos: Love the music, but I've always been unsure about female vocalists. Perhaps it sounds sexist, but there are very few rock/punk/alt bands w/ female vocalists I enjoy.

Flee the Scene: Cool name. Reminds me too much of Taking Back Sunday, though. :/

Something Corporate: I used to love So Co so much, but I didn't know they officially broke up? I know they don't tour or have any plans for music, I don't even think they're still signed to Drive-Thru anymore, but I didn't know they were officially done. :( "I Woke Up In A Car" was incredible, it changed my life. And I love Andrew McMahon, he looks SOOOO young in the video. When I first heard "Mixed Tape" I almost cried. I'm glad Andy's still around, though.

Yea Andrew McMahon broke the band up when he found out he had leukemia. It wasn't bad terms or anything but everyone in the band has moved on to other things and McMahon has said that he doesn't want to make So Co music anymore because he wants to move in another direction.

Something Corporate has gotten me through some rough times I love that band.
